Farm Shop
Located conveniently at the main swimming pool and Recreation Area, the Farm Shop is a convenience store that stocks a range of essential items to cover you for any of those “oops, I forgot to pack…” moments. The Farm Shop also offers a delectable selection of homemade jams, pickles, biscuits, and rusks, and is a proud stockist of Funky Ouma and Rooibaard products.
Looking forward to your first braai in the Mablingwe bushveld, on your arrival? The Farm Shop has a ‘braaivleis’ fridge brimming with top quality, fresh and succulent meats to ensure you are set for all your holiday braai needs. And how about something sweet to round off a delicious meal at the Le Fera Restaurant? There is a range of sweeties for every taste and occasion.
The Shop also stocks a colourful, exciting and affordable range of toys and games for the kiddies; as well as fun swimming pool accessories to make the small fry’s holiday experience even more memorable.
P.S. A little birdie told us that there’s a revamp of the Farm Shop on the cards for 2023. #exciting!
Boeretroos
The oh-so popular Boeretroos Gift and Coffee Shop is situated right next to the Farm Shop and is all about all the spoils! Whether it’s a delicious treat to eat or drink, or a unique gift for a dear someone, be sure to visit Boeretroos and indulge in something special.
Browse a stunning selection of gifts, from a wide range of handbags and woven baskets from Madagascar to beautiful scarves and jewellery, including a newly added sterling silver, freshwater pearl and genuine leather range.
Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of java whilst browsing in the shop, or a delicious light meal and gourmet milkshake on the deck, overlooking all the fun and shenanigans of the Entertainment Area.
Le Fera Restaurant
The Restaurant, located down the path from Reception, is open seven days a week, and serves scrumptious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Le Fera Team have introduced a new summer menu, featuring the most popular and delicious menu items, as chosen by guests.
Daily specials are available and the famous snack platters are available to order all day long – the perfect accompaniment to that cocktail, while enjoying the stunning views out over the bushveld!
Vulture’s View Bar
Those who know, know that the views from Vulture’s View Bar (and from Le Fera Restaurant!) are some of the best on the Reserve! Perched up high in the main complex, overlooking WP Wessels Dam and the wider Mabalingwe-Waterberg biome, Vulture’s View Bar is the perfect place for a sundowner, a quiet drink accompanied by a Le Fera snack platter, and possibly a holiday Backgammon-off!
Kalahari Oasis Bush Pub
A Mabalingwe holiday is not complete without a visit to the iconic and legendary Kalahari Oasis! Enjoy the quirky, authentic rustic bushveld vibes, while sipping on an ice-cold R&R! Activities
Mabalingwe hosts a range of activities, designed to provide something for everyone. From guided Bird and Nature Walks to Game Drives, Night Drives, 4 x 4 Trails, and the hugely popular Private Picnic Drives – the ultimate in bushveld romance – there are, of course, a whole host of activities designed to get you and Nature up close and personal!
Any child that visits Mabalingwe and doesn’t get to participate in the fabulous Eco Cubs outings has missed out on a truly fun and enriching experience. Led by our amazing Team of Rangers, this activity is geared to spark and heighten children’s interest in, and excitement about, nature and the great outdoors.
Another fun activity and a great way for parents to spend quality time with the kids is Archery. The Kettie Shooting activity is also a popular one.
Entertainment Programme
During School Holidays, our phenomenal Entertainment Team hosts a daily, jam-packed programme of fun and entertainment. All the action takes place at the Entertainment Area at the main swimming pool and lots of laughter and enjoyment for the whole family is guaranteed!
